ACTION PLAN FOR YEAR 2020

 

  • Continue our dialogue with authorities with regards to DAT allowance.
  • Explore the need to extend the compulsory retirement age to 63 years for medical officers.
  • Correction of long held salary anormaly pertaining to basic, pensionable allowance, non pensionable allowance, created by 2006/06 circular.
  • Continue our struggle to obtain transport facility for doctors.
  • Continue our struggle in obtaining 5 PH for a month and extra Duty allowance raised to 8hours a day.
  • Correction of anormaly with regard to annual increment.
  • Keep demanding quarters facilities.
  • To promote inhibition of meaningless compulsory transfers.

  • Meeting hon prime minister Minister of finance to address member issues.
  • Meeting with minister of education to address issues.
  • Visit to Northern Province addressing their unresolved issues.
  • Visit to eastern province addressing their unresolved issues.
  • Discussed with minister of finance and minister of health to
  1. Reintroduce vehicle permits for doctors.
  2. DAT allowance
  3. PH 1/20 th claims for 5 days per month.
  4. Extra Duty payment issues( to raise for 6 hours per day)
  • Correction of salary anomaly created by 2006/06 circular.
  • Correction of annual increment rates.
  • Address medical administration allowances issues.
  • Discussion of retirement permit issues related to those who retired from September 2018 to January 2019.
  • Discuss with DGHS related to north-east list.
  • Discuss with DGHS regards to meaningless compulsory annual transfers.
  • Discussions to extend retirement age up to 63 for all medical officers.
  • Helping the last intern batch to appointments despite court cases
  • Helping the last post intern batch to receive first appointment after a delay in giving appointments.
  • Successfully achieving to pay 6 hours extra duty per day instead of 4 hours, for present RHO s as they have to do HO duty for an added time period.
  • Helping to resolve many individual issues and grievances of medical officers (retirement, transfer, permit, temporary attachments, delays in promotions, etc…)
